Lake Road 4-Laning, Rotorua $11.4m (complete)

Major civil construction contract for the Rotorua District Council including significant earthworks, drainage, (the stormwater runs under the new carriageway on both sides of the road and includes box culverts and large interchange manholes where the sewer and stormwater clash), services relocation,(power, telecommunications, gas, water, stormwater and sewerage), bridge demolition and new construction and new pavement.(30,000m2 of 600mm pavement). There was over 7,500m2 of new concrete footpath and entrance ways (both commercial and residential), as well as kerbing including crossing and pedestrian refuges, lighting and signage.

Schick maintained traffic control for a 20 month period on a high volume arterial road, (24,000 vehicles per day). The road remained open to two-lane traffic at all times as did access to private property.
